Pop Through the Decades: 80's, 90's, and Now at The Bitter End

Johari will be rejoining his producing partners Alyssa Faye Smith and Sean Andrews to put on a pop music cabaret at The Bitter End on 10 May 2016 at 7:00 PM. Featuring the work of Bon Jovi, Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Greenday, and many more.

Some People Run at the Butterfly Room

Johari will be appearing as Dr. Roth in a reading of the new musical comedy Some People Run by Patrick Flanagan. The performance will occur at 7:00 on Tuesday, 15 March 2016 and is directed and music directed by Mr. Flanagan.

A Night of Menken at The Bitter End

Johari, along with Alyssa Faye Smith and Sean Andrews, will be producing a cabaret featuring a selection of Alan Menken's music. The performance will be at 7:00 PM on 2 February 2016 at The Bitter End and will feature Cameron Moser, Jessica Hondel, Mary Margaret Flaming, Alyssa Faye Smith, Joshua Smith, Kelsey Porter, Ben-David Carlson, Tiandre McGee, Eric Ruiter, and Paola Hernandez with Sean Andrews on the piano.

Urinetown, The Musical with Fracture Theatre Co.

Johari will be appearing in Urinetown, The Musical as Old Man Strong at the American Theatre of Actors. Produced by the Fracture Theatre Company in the 2015 Araca Project with direction by Seth Landau, choreography by Banji Aborisade, and music direction by Andrew Wheeler. Performances are 16-18 and 22-24 October. Three Sisters: Tulsa 21 with the Applied Theatre Collective

25-28 June 2015

Johari will be appearing as Theodore Elijah James in the devised play Three Sisters: Tulsa 21, directed by Marissa Metelica and written by Lauren Whithead, based on Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters and the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921. All performances occur at the Secret Theatre, and are Thursday through Saturday (25-27 June) at 8:00 PM and Sunday (28 June) at 2:00 and 7:30 PM. A Cabaret of New Music

Johari will make his composing debut at 3:00 on Saturday 20 June at Studios 353 Studio B. His music will be performed by Paola Hernández, Adam Huel Potter, Rikki Nicol Baynard, Jessica Markovich, Sydney Duncheon, Ben-David Carlson, Cameron Moser, and himself. Music direction and accompaniment will be done by Jean-Paul Björlin.

The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas with Circle in the Square Theatre School

14-15 June 2015

Johari will be appearing in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas in the Circle in the Square Theatre School Festival of Theatre with direction and choreography by Jeanne Slater and music direction by Jean-Paul Björlin. Performances take place in the Circle in the Square Theatre Sunday 14 June at 8:00 PM and Monday 15 June at 2:00 and 8:00 PM. He will also be graduating from Circle on the 15th.

Twelfth Night, or What You Will with Circle in the Square Theatre School

7-8 June 2015

Johari will be appearing in Twelfth Night, or What You Will as Malvolio in the Circle in the Square Theatre School Festival of Theatre with direction by Edward Berkeley. Performances take place in the Circle in the Square Theatre Sunday 7 June at 8:00 PM and Monday 8 June at 2:00 and 8:00 PM.
